Hands-on Project On Loom Screen Recording tool!

As a part of our learning, it is very important for every member of our group to attempt this project and use it to learn more about the tools we’re now learning and based on this, we are testing our your ability to use Loom very well without hassle. For this task, the objectives are listed below!

Objective

This assignment is designed to test your ability to:

  • Record your screen using Loom
  • Speak confidently while recording
  • Edit your video using Loom’s editing tools
  • Use text overlay effectively

Task Instructions

Part 1: Record Your Screen and Introduce Yourself

Create a 3–5 minute Loom video where you record your screen and also speak in the video.

During your recording, answer these questions clearly:

  1. What is your name?
  2. Tell us a little about yourself.
    • (Example: your background, interests, or what you do)
  3. What skills are you currently learning?
  4. Why did you decide to learn these skills?

Part 2: Talk About Loom

While still recording, explain:

  1. Mention 3 features you enjoy most on Loom
    • Example: Screen recording, trimming, text overlay, speed control, sharing links, etc.
  2. Why do you find these features interesting or useful?
  3. How do you think Loom can help you in your learning or work?

Part 3: Edit Your Video in Loom

After recording, use Loom’s editor and complete the following:

✅ Trim unnecessary parts from the beginning, middle, or end
✅ Add a text overlay showing your full name at the start of the video
✅ Add another text overlay showing the title: “My Favorite Loom Features”
✅ Add at least one more text overlay anywhere in the video for emphasis
✅ Review your video and make sure the audio is clear
